WILD COUNTRY GUESTS: You never know who might show up
July 24, 2008

Chuck YeagerWith a coverage zone that encompasses four sprawling West Coast states and one Canadian province, we'd be declared clinically insane if we didn't have an entire posse of superstars riding shotgun on our Wild Country news-gathering patrols. Fortunately, we have the most well-armed posse in the radio business: our guests.

In the space of a typical 120-minute show, we'll call on as many as a dozen guests stationed throughout the Pacific Northwest. We'll hear from the region's best guides, outfitters, lodges, charters and tackle shops. We'll hear from a wildly diverse lineup of tackle manufacturers, legislators and professional anglers, and the movers and shakers of the West Coast fishing and hunting world.Velvick mug

And it doesn't end there.

In addition to the on-the-water/in-the-field reporters, a typical Northwest Wild Country show is heavily spiced with a hearty dose of star power from the fields of professional sports, television, music, entertainment and politics. You might be surprised at the number of certified superstars who secretly wish they were professional anglers, fishing guides and outfitters.
